Planning Your Move
Contact our customer service representative to set up a free in-home estimate, at our free toll 1-888-337-4776 .Our representative will make a very detailed and convenient inventory list of all your relocation needs to determine your written estimate. This estimate you'll receive will help you understand and decide your moving process. You will also become familiar with the FMCSA book of “Your rights and responsibilities when you move”. It provides important information regarding the moving process. After our onsite free estimate everything regarding your move will be very clear. Our representative who organizes the details will make sure that things happen when and how they should. We will call at least 24 to 48 hours in advance to confirm the timing of the moving day to ensure a smooth arrival of our team at your door.
Consumer planning part tips: During the in-home estimate, make sure you inform any items to your sales representative that you will moving or not be moving.
Packing and loading your belongings
At your actual moving day our trained team will arrive at your home. The van operator will direct the crew in order to make the packing and loading process as effective and safe as possible. The workers will carry on board all the packing materials that are needed to protect your belongings even for the most fragile items, such as those made of marble and glass, as well as fine art, painting/pictures, plasma TVs, Grandfather clock, piano, wine collections and other fragile items. One nation van lines is equipped with custom wood crate services to keep your valuables intact. Our professional carpenters are available to administer the disassembly and reassembly of all your furniture pieces.
As part of our services we provide free delivery of all kinds of industry best packing materials and accessories. We will send you any 10 moving boxes for free; all you have to do is to inform one of our operations managers about your request. Our useful packing supplies are available from the small book boxes to the big wardrobe boxes, and much more, for free delivery as well.
Costumer preparation day tips: At The moving day make sure to place your dishes and china closet at the strong dashing box for dishes.
Delivery and payment
According to our contract your belongings will be delivered to your door at the scheduled time. In order not to incur any additional waiting cost we recommended being at the delivery location to receive your shipment.
The van operator is required by law to collect the payment for your household move before your shipment can be unloaded. Unless credit arrangements have been made in advance payment must be made in cash or certified check, postal money order.
Unloading and unpacking
Like Most costumers if you have requested our unpacking with your moving services, your moving crew will arrange to unpack cartons at the time of delivery and will remove used packing materials. Should you choose to unpack your cartons yourself, you'll be responsible for disposing of empty cartons and used materials. During the unloading event, the van operator will request your signature on all delivery documents. In case of any loss or damage, please note the items involved on the inventory form prior to signing.
Consumer tip: Drivers are required to assemble bed frames and unpack mattress cartons to setup all beds. If additional services are needed, please notify your agent.
